Jul 02, 2017: 4:30pm spent a good amount of time kicking the tires of Tails 3.0. I'm impressed, but it takes approximately 30 minutes for each reboot and to get logged back in. That amount of time will improve as time goes on.
Jul 02, 2017: 11:46pm successfully tarballed the ethererum chaindata. Going to try using ethereum without having to maintain a complete copy of the entire blockchain since it's quickly consuming massive amounts of storage space and thrashing my SSD.
Jul 06, 2017: 11:41am need to figure out how to reserve/register an .eth domain name. See http://registrar.ens.domains/.
Jul 06, 2017: 12:22pm absolutely amazing stuff with this name registration process. Mind blowing. Game changing. Finally! A solution to my addiction to registering (and paying for) so many .com domains and other TLD domains! I'm totally fine with .eth domains. The process is very time-sensitive, and I can't adhere to the 72-hour/48-hour right now, but I'm sure I'll come back to this soon...
Jul 08, 2017: 2:09am getting very close to the likely bitcoin blockchain split coming around the end of July. Everyone should get all of your coins off the exchanges before this time. There will surely be VERY WILD price swings coming soon since if people move coins off the exchanges, that's when the huge fluctuations set in quick. Read [https://news.bitcoin.com/blockchain-split-staying-informed-bitcoin-keys/?utm_source=OneSignal%20Push&utm_medium=notification&utm_campaign=Push%20Notifications this article] for good advice.
Jul 08, 2017: 2:50am signed up an account at [https://live.ether.camp live.ether.camp]. The smart contracts within ethereum are amazingly powerful stuff. Solidity sounds great, but sadly it's a language that didn't exist before my car accident, so I'll just have to trust the open-source coding community to build good code with this. Jul 13, 2017: 4:15am spent way too much time investigating [https://www.tezos.com/ tezos.com] to not get in at least with the minimum on this ICO. Giving up on trying to have GlenBot make millions of dollars in the next 12 hours since bitfinex.com (the exchange I was planning on leveraging for the chain split) does not allow margin trading for US residents. Glad I found that out now before I killed myself trying to speed-code before the UAHF deadline. I admit defeat.
Jun 1, 2017: 5:07am rebooted vps6
Jun 2, 2017: 11:20am my phone number used for the last 14 years has been turned off. Preparing for the avalanche of issues to deal with associated with that.
Jun 2, 2017: 12:05pm locked out of my only bank account that still has any USD left in it because it wanted me to verify my identity by texting or calling my old phone number, which I can no longer do.
Jun 2, 2017: 12:10pm got back into bank account after speaking with bank support tech when I called them.
Jun 2, 2017: 12:31pm still waiting on fraud reversal from Fidelity. According to what they said verbally that I have a recording of, the two additional fraudulent charges should be reversed by June 9th.
Jun 2, 2017: 2:19pm making decent progress on migrating Google Authenticator 2FA from old iphone to new one. During the process, I had an idea that I'd like to suggest anyone working for the government or any bank take into consideration: the moment a fraud report comes in, buy bitcoin for whatever amount is reported to be fraudulent. Hold onto it for up to 10 business days and sell it back to the market whenever there is a decent amount of profit to be had, then reimburse the fraudulently stolen fiat currency, and come out ahead causing deflation instead of just printing more money to replace the fraudulently stolen money causing inflation. Hmm... yeah, don't listen to him... he's crazy.
But that's assuming any of the world is still dealing with USD by then. I believe bitcoin and ethereum will replace all fiat money worldwide, so there will be no USD value of anything anymore.
Jun 4, 2017: 6:06am I switched from Fidelity to another bank as soon as the fraudulent charges first appeared on my Fidelity debit card. Now the new bank I went with has hijacked funds and cut off my ability to even access my balance on their website or on their app on my phone. They're saying to call them, but they're closed now. Oh joy... here we go again... I hereby vow to never do business with any bank ever again unless there's no alternative. They are constantly hijacking my own money "for my protection" causing me to lose money by them doing so. They should instead say, "We have hijacked your money and prevented you from gaining interest on it with bitcoin."
Jun 6, 2017 1:31am getting tired of the skyrocketing prices of cryptocurrencies... and of warning friends who asked if now was a good time to get into bitcoin. Absolutely without a doubt I said. May 12, 2017: 2:50pm found a nice website which shows [https://bitnodes.21.co/ global bitcoin nodes distribution]. Neato.
May 13, 2017: 7:42pm I just earned $0.95 USD (0.0005 btc at the current market rate) for creating a profile on [https://21.co/ 21.co] and am hoping to earn bitcoin just by reading emails. Very cool of an idea for a website.
May 14, 2017: 6:38pm giving up on trying to use that old VPS as vps5. It's simply not a VPS of the caliber needed for yellowsprinkles. Kept getting "FATAL -> Failed to fork" error messages whenever trying to do anything. Basically, not enough RAM in that VPS to make use of it.
May 16, 2017: 3:30pm called Fidelity to check on the fraud report. When it originally happened and I reported it to them on the 7th, they said it would take 5 business days to reverse the charges. This time I recorded the call and have them now saying it will take "7 to 10 business days". Call recording is stored on google drive -> Long-Term Disability -> recorded calls -> "20170516-fidelity_fraud-8003433548.mp3".
May 18, 2017: 2:17pm having problems with receiving verification email supposedly being sent by blockchain.info. Unable to access my bitcoin wallet... grrrrr... come on [https://blockchain.info/ blockchain.info]! While waiting for the lost verification email, I found [https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Outreach/IPO_Division_Chief_Lori_MacKenzies_Remarks.pdf this]. Basically if you search that document for "bitcoin", you'll find this: "One question regarding source of funds related to the use of Bitcoin to transfer investment funds to the new commercial enterprise. USCIS is currently considering issues involving virtual currency such as Bitcoin". It's about damn time some leg of the government is waking up!
May 18, 2017: 11:13pm wasted many hours (over 8 in all!) today dealing with the fraudulent charges against my Fidelity debit card. I took the time to explicitly detail exactly which charges were fraudulent and not reimbursed yet, all of it in writing, all of it legally timestamped using [https://stamp.io Stampery]. The support response was that they cannot process fraud reports via their Secure Messaging System and that I must call into their 24x7 support line. I'm so freaking pissed! The banks are literally thieves. In my follow-up snide response I said I was sorry they couldn't read. I can't talk since I'm disabled and can only respond in writing to them. I feel like suing them for discrimination against persons with disabilities!
May 21, 2017: made my first ever birthday card that had bitcoin in it instead of cash. The beauty of that is that it's a gift that will be worth MUCH MORE SOMEDAY than it was when it was gifted. If my time and focus wasn't already consumed with development of this YellowSprinkles idea, the idea of bitcoin birthday cards is another whole possibility that can be developed. Hallmark would love the idea... maybe they'll build it someday.
May 22, 2017: 12:52pm waiting on a bitcoin transaction to go through since almost 3 days ago. Found [http://bitcointicker.co/networkstats/ this page] which earned a bookmark. If this works, this means it's a whole new market emerging in selling transaction acceleration service. Absolutely fascinatingly mind blowing.
May 25, 2017: 11:27am dealing with fraud against my Fidelity debit card yet again, 3rd call to them about it. This time I recorded the entire call and it is available on google drive as "201705251115-fidelity_fraud-8003433548.mp3". They said it'll be 10 days before they can reverse the two fraudulent charges that they missed from May 1st and May 2nd. If the $200 worth of fraud hadn't occurred, and I bought bitcoin with it on May 2 (when it was $1406.07), it would be worth $340.24! That means this fraud bullshit and Fidelity's inability to take a fraud report in writing has already cost $140.24 that Fidelity will never reimburse me for. Grrrrr
