Apr 08, 2017: 5:33am Some of the first photos are now published on http://foundation.glencooper.com/accident-photos
Apr 09, 2017: 12:30pm awoke from a morning nap with an idea of how to combine vanitygen + crystamped + bitcoin in a way that will be cool and profitable, but the internet was down in such a way that I wasn't able to record the idea in the wiki.
Apr 09, 2017: 12:35pm the internet came back up, idea recorded!
Apr 09, 2017: 12:36pm started installing supervanitygen on vps1
Apr 10, 2017: 12:08pm found that backups are still failing on hostgator even though inodes count has been reduced to under 100,000. Manually created backup job saving to home directory. Need to check it tomorrow after the replacement hard drive cable arrives.
Apr 10, 2017: 12:37pm only halfway thru reading this article about separation between bank and state and I already have to link to it
Apr 10, 2017: 1:53pm returned voicemail to Albany Neurology. Call recorded. Saved recording to google drive -> Long-Term Disability -> recorded calls -> 20170410-neurology-5182620800.mp3. Basically asked them to hold the case open until I can arrange transportation.
Apr 10, 2017: 2:02pm tried again to apply for Medicaid at https://nystateofhealth.ny.gov/ but it's saying I need to purchase insurance through the Individual Marketplace
Apr 10, 2017: 2:14pm unable to apply for medicaid because I was denied with reason: "We have determined that the individual(s) listed below are not eligible, to enroll in a qualified health plan at full cost through NY State of Health."
Apr 12, 2017: 11:00am priced out health insurance in the marketplace. Just under $1000/mo. Nice. Thanks Obamacare!
Apr 13, 2017: 3:37pm just found out (in this news article) that Microsoft has already implemented the idea behind my crystamped.org. I hope to still build it because the bitcoin blockchain and the method of provably timestamping a document into the blockchain is the same, and I like the name crystamped better than stampery anyway.
Apr 14, 2017: 8:02am freebitco.in has a really nicely built system that allows you to instantly enter a weekly lottery draw for free that has very large prizes. Awesome site!
Apr 15, 2017: 9:59am downloaded complete backup of hostgator account, saved to encrypted thumbdrive.
Apr 15, 2017: 11:03pm finished deleting dozens of ancient MySQL databases on primary hostgator server. The majority of these were remnants of the 50+ .com adult sites that haven't been updated in 10+ years.
Apr 15, 2017: 11:05pm initiated another hostgator full server backup. Check JM email tomorrow to see if the tarball is ready to be downloaded.
Apr 16, 2017: 9:06am the ECDSA key fingerprint of vps3 changed for an unknown reason. This is a sign that the host may have been compromised. NOTE TO SELF: Do not log into this host until it has been restored from the last known safe snapshot.
Apr 17, 2017: 3:22pm signed up account at BitWala.io. Finally a way to use bitcoin to pay any bill!
Apr 17, 2017: 4:43pm scratch that BitWala idea. It costs $19.15 USD flat fee to send money from Germany to United States. F that! Banking thieves!
Apr 21, 2017: 12:00pm spent my last dollar on a cab ride to go pick up what I thought was my next disability check. Turns out it was a notification letter saying I am ineligible for whatever bullshit reason they came up with. I sense an arrest coming in my near future.
Aor 22, 2017: 4:00am locked out of primary Ubuntu laptop because something went wrong with trying to install kymymoney.org. It tried to convert my desktop from unity to KDE. I tried to back out of it and now have a laptop that won't boot at all. All of my ssh private keys are on that laptop. Need to try getting back in with an ubuntu Live CD, but I have no blank CDs or DVDs.
Apr 23, 2017: started looking into setting up tahoe-lafs for a cloud-based redundant storage solution.
Apr 24, 2017: 3:10am able to mount the encrypted Home folder as root on Ubuntu Live SD card, but need harddrive to back it up just in case anything else goes wrong.

Apr 25, 2017: 12:59pm unable to nuke the primary ubuntu laptop harddrive to reinstall a fresh ubuntu installation. Need to try installing via an actual Ubuntu Live CD instead of an Ubuntu Live on SD Card.
Apr 25, 2017: 1:00pm switched gears over to mining bitcoin at genesis-mining.com. Very impressive operation they've got going.
Apr 26, 2017: 8:48am SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS: successfully reformatted the harddrive for my primary laptop and reinstalled Ubuntu. Named the system "mreth". mrbtc, rest in peace. mreth is born. It's alive! IT'S ALIVVVVEEE!! Starting to install updates...
Apr 26, 2017: 9:02am everyone should read this article about what disability looks like.
Apr 29, 2017: 9:38am got primary laptop operating enough on Ubuntu again after reformatting the harddrive that building this site is possible again. Named this attempt "mreth-primary".
