Mar 01, 2017: 12:01am created 4 different wallets; 3 separate bitcoin ones at https://blockchain.info and one using Ethereum wallet.
Mar 01, 2017: 1:32am MILESTONE REACHED. Purchased first ever Ethereum using Ethereum Wallet and shapeshift.io
Mar 02, 2017: 4:00pm searching everywhere I can think of for the passwords to those 4 wallets created yesterday. Stressed about probably having lost those funds forever.
Mar 02, 2017: 4:57pm KeePassX lost the passwords I used for those 4 wallets yesterday because the laptop rebooted and I neglected to save the password database yesterday. KeePassX database is now backed up to drive.google.com (in the KeePassX folder) using ocamlfuse. The password hint can be found by searching for "KeePassX" in LastPass. Moving away from LastPass since it's not open source and I only trust open source all the way from here on out.
Mar 02, 2017: 10:54pm YellowSprinkles.org development has been deprioritized due to this: Bitcoin 'creator' races to patent technology with gambling tycoon
Mar 02, 2017: 10:55pm new primary secondary goal is involving investing into ethereum. Primary is healing.
Mar 03, 2017: 10:15am still giving a lot of thought to last night's entry. I think YellowSprinkles.org still has potential. It's kinda hard to just shrug off a 300 billion dollar idea. Eh. It's only 300 billion USD... all fiat is practically worthless to me now. The world's non-profs need help benefiting financially from cryptocurrencies. That I can still help with.
Mar 07, 2017: I always knew I had a guardian angel. Today I met her in person. She saved my life by being there to have my last drink in public with.
Mar 08, 2017: tried for hours to repartition the "rivest" virtual machine, but because it's using an encrypted hard drive, it's too technically complicated. Sorry, ethereum... if you didn't consume more computing power than I have available, you might have beat bitcoin. Until I can get my bigger computers running in Virginia again, you're just going to have to wait.
Mar 09, 2017: 12:50pm reviving this because the journaling helps me remember what I'm doing.
Mar 09, 2017: 1:10pm cleaning up the wiki, separated Mar 2017.
Mar 10, 2017: background magic
Mar 11, 2017: Smile Manager time
Mar 12, 2017: topped up the account balance at https://bithost.io/
Mar 13, 2017: more snow coming, oh joy!
Mar 14, 2017: 1:51pm updated all open source software on vps1.yellowsprinkles.org to latest versions.
Mar 14, 2017: 1:57pm rebooted vps1 and found that it happened so fast that thousandeyes.com didn't even detect the reboot
Mar 14, 2017: 2:04pm shutdown apache on vps1. It's been down almost 10 minutes now and no notification yet from thousandeyes.com.
Mar 14, 2017: 2:57pm sorry thousandeyes, your jacked up trial blew it for me. You advertise free monitoring, but when the trial ran out and I was within the free service guidelines, your system is refusing to even give the advertised free services. Damn, I really had high hopes for partnering with you. Good luck. We will NOT be doing business together.

Mar 15, 2017: 2:33pm monitoring of https://wiki.yellowsprinkles.org/ is now set up with free services provided by https://uptimerobot.com/.
Mar 15, 2017: 4:00pm slipped twice on the 2+ feet of snow from blizzard Stella when only trying to take out the trash. hyperextended the left knee. Good thing my orthopedic doctor said I never broke the knee in the accident, otherwise it'd probably require surgery to fix.
Mar 15, 2017: 11:28pm deleted hundreds of old files from hostgator server that once held dozens of .com adult domain names that I once hosted 10-20 years ago. RIP porn. Hello YellowSprinkles. 289,109 files remaining. Need to reduce to under 100,000 in order for automated backups to occur from HostGator. (resolved Mar 16, 2017 12:30am)
Mar 16, 2017: 12:30am found the reason why the primary webserver at hostgator was overloaded. Several years ago I set up a FTP account for a co-worker and allowed him to set up a webcam that was constantly uploading data. I had 4+ years of data on there (5.5GB of over 250,000 individual jpg's!). Tarballed it and downloading it now just in case he wants it for any reason.
Mar 16, 2017: 9:30am the download of the 5GB tarball off the primary server failed overnight, even when using DownThemAll. Presumably this was because the internet here bounces all the time which is "normal" for around here apparently. Reattempting the download again.
Mar 16, 2017: 11:25am the 5GB tarball download completed. Now I just need to figure out how to get it to the coworker in case he wants it. Deleted content off hostgator.
Mar 16, 2017: 11:22am confirmed that normal backups will occur during next weekly run at hostgator: Files: 79685 / 100000. Success: If Backups ran now, your account would be backed up. Need to check on this in a week. Reminder on phone calendar has been set.
Mar 16, 2017: 12:50pm paid $80.00 in attempt to buy for another yellowsprinkles domain thru GoDaddy. Log into GoDaddy with Facebook. Search KeePassX for 201703161250 for private notes.
Mar 16, 2017: 12:54pm charging bodycam for the first time ever. Instructions say it should be fully charged in 90 minutes.
Mar 16, 2017: 1:58pm need to reboot laptop. See "201703161401" in KeePassX.
Mar 16, 2017: 3:30pm rebooted successfully. Had to manually restart google-drive-ocamlfuse with command "google-drive-ocamlfuse ~/google-drive".
Mar 16, 2017: 4:17pm successfully recorded first ever video with bodycam. Now onto figuring out where to store this data...
Mar 16, 2017: 10:47pm installing phpMyAdmin on vps1 by following this guide.
Mar 16, 2017: 11:20pm MILESTONE REACHED. phpMyAdmin is now installed successfully at https://vps1.yellowsprinkles.org/phpmyadmin/ This install attempt got botched. Moved to vps4.yellowsprinkles.org
Mar 17, 2017: 12:27am installed MariaDB on vps1 by following this guide.
Mar 17, 2017: 1:24am starting to lock down https://vps1.yellowsprinkles.org/phpmyadmin/ by using htpasswd.
Mar 17, 2017: 1:55am I screwed something up with the phpMyAdmin setup. Lost the username/password combo and too tired to worry about fixing it now. Grrr
Mar 17, 2017: 5:59pm I wore two hats today: 1) nursing my throbbing knee, 2) strengthening YellowSprinkles.org network security. Even the detailed notes are not being shared here yet, but there are notes being made... just can't share them yet. If I forget what I did all day today without noting it here, then all hope is lost.
Mar 17, 2017: 6:11pm need to reboot because the encrypted USB thumbdrive has stopped working. Hope a reboot is all that's needed to revive it. The reboot worked! Whew... no heart attack tonight... from that at least. Plenty of other things stressing me out. BP monitor says to call 9-1-1. Pfft
Mar 17, 2017: 7:09pm internet outage here for the last hour. Now up on personal hotspot from smartphone with 1-bar of cellular signal.
Mar 17, 2017: 11:45pm vps3 and vps4 are almost alive. Went with building vps3 because I had a security concern with vps1 and neglected to do backups. Safer to just redo from start. I didn't like the way vpsserver.com doesn't allow snapshots/backups to include a label, so built vps4 on bithost.io instead. It's looking like vps4 on bithost.io will be the authoritative machine amongst the cluster.
Mar 18, 2017: 2:13am all letsencrypt renewals for vps1, vps2, vps3, vps4 should now run automatically every Monday at slightly different times by way of cronjob. Need to check on the log files on Monday to confirm. See https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-secure-apache-with-let-s-encrypt-on-ubuntu-16-04M
Mar 18, 2017: 3:00am The domain name vps3.yellowsprinkles.org is now online via HTTPS, and got an overall A rating at ssllabs.com.
Mar 18, 2017: 3:05am The domain name vps4.yellowsprinkles.org is now online via HTTPS, and got an overall A rating at ssllabs.com.
Mar 18, 2017: 3:10am MILESTONE REACHED. phpMyAdmin is now installed correctly at https://vps4.yellowsprinkles.org/phpmyadmin/
Mar 19, 2017: 10:30am figured something needs to be done to organize this stuff since it's growing too huge to be kept in my feeble mind with very limited ability to remember just about anything. Started building the VPSinfo page.
Mar 19, 2017: 4:01pm registered "cryptosaints.com" at domains4bitcoins. I think it'd be easy to build a website that would let people buy an email address using @cryptosaints.com. Have it redirect any emails sent to @cryptosaints.com to their normal gmail or whatever email address. The only problem would be the jokers that come along and be like, "Hi, I'm Ben. Ben Dover. You can email me at bendover@cryptosaints.com". LOL.
Mar 20, 2017: 10:46am setting up nameservers for cryptosaints.com domain name.
Mar 20, 2017: 10:54am DNS for cryptosaints.com is now using cloudflare.com nameservers.
Mar 20, 2017: 1:53pm https://cryptosaints.com/ is now online and SSL encrypted on vps4.yellowsprinkles.org
Mar 20, 2017: 2:53m added a little easter egg to https://vps4.yellowsprinkles.org/. NOTE TO SELF: Need to fix the https on that page.
Mar 20, 2017: 8:43pm DNS for crystamp.com is now using cloudflare.com nameservers. Check again tomorrow to make sure it propogated properly.
